The Story
Based on the heart-warming stories of Katherine Forbes and the Broadway play by John Van Druten, I Remember Mama tells the story of a close knit Norwegian immigrant family in 1910 San Francisco. Mama, who works to hold the family together through difficult times, inspires her daughter Katrin, a budding writer. Papa and four other children complete this wonderful family. The aunts, uncles, family friends, and other intriguing characters round out a cast singing Richard Rodgers’ last major musical score.
