"Side Show" is based on the true story of Siamese twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton and is set in the 1930's. An aspiring hoofer, Buddy Foster, who convinces Terry Connor, a theatrical agent for the Orpheum Circuit that "these two girls have something special", discovers the twins. The twins' career advances from the carnival side show attraction to Vaudeville performers and they go on to become stars of the Ziegfield Follies. As relationships grow, it appears as though their wish to "be like everyone else" is about to come true when cruel reality strikes. When all is said and done, these courageous twins are left with only each other.
